An alternative to talc, mica and other mineral fillers for use in a wide range of formulations. Compared to other cosmetic fillers, Puraflake® has high transparency and a neutral mass tone.
Puraflake® is available in a series of thicknesses, particle sizes and surface chemistries, all of which are engineered to enhance a diverse range of cosmetic formulations.
Applications include:
- Enhancing the colour payoff in lipstick formulations
- Improving colour and application of eye shadow formulations
- Enhancing texture and maintaining compaction in pressed powders
- Increased skin luminosity in eye, face and body cream formulations
- Planar surface, and uniform thickness, enhances laydown, slip and skin feel for cream formulations
- Neutral mass tone improves colour value, hue and intensity of the desired appearance
Thickness is tightly controlled, as opposed to natural mineral fillers, which improves soft skin feel and reduces irritation. Furthermore, Puraflake® can be offered both treated and untreated; surface treatment with dimethicone further enhances skin feel, lubricity and slip and delivery of essential minerals.
